Statement:
Hi!
I'm a spiritual being living a human existence and I'm finding it harder and harder to get by on freelancing alone. I have a month left to try LA before I have to move on, and I'd like to see my positive focus and a gentle loving nudge from the Universe help manifest a creative/art-themed job for me before then.
Does anyone have any illustration/design/art/spiritual needs they want fulfilled? I'm talented, creative and experienced, motivated to create beauty, harmony, share positivity, love and I've been told that there is a unique vibrational quality to my work. I am chameleon to all styles and your needs and enjoy being a tool to your visual goals and dreams. I've done fashion illustration and design, Graphic design, comic books, book cover and chapter/insert design, tarot card deck design, storyboard art, murals, paintings, collages, ceramics, cooking, dance etc. etc. I know my work and multi-talents are very marketable, but I'm running low on time so I thought I would try this avenue.
Also, can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there an agency or designer, etc. that needs an artistic hand in anything? Any connections perhaps?
Please reply with any ideas, suggestions, comments. I look forward to working with you! God Bless...
~Light and Love,
Daniel
Background:
I was born in the Philippines and moved at the age of 1 to Dubai, U.A.E. I did most of my growing up there and was influenced most by the multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and duality of the city. It is a yin-yang arena of East-Meets-West with a very unique individual culture that speaks loudly of the fact that it is a piece of land that conjoins Africa and Euro-Asia. My mother is an artist herself and Filipino. Her teachings were mostly hands-on art, she inspired me daily to be resourceful, creative with every action and thought - her prime gift was patience and the seeds of my art. My dad was a white Texan trueblood and inspired me to reach for my dreams through hard work, tenacity and the fulfillment of sharing beauty and bounty.
Because of my Western/Asian heritage, my East-meets-West environment and my insatiable curiosity for all things sub-and-super natural, I have many diverse interests that inspire my every move. I'm a professional hip hop/contemporary/street jazz/break dance dancer. I love self-help books and use it to beat sermons into others in need of some pearls of wisdom. I channel most things into my life through positive thought. I've discovered that I'm a spiritual being living a human experience. I study and practice many forms of the occult, both mainstream and word-of-mouth ancient. I have a natural affinity for balance, or using asymmetry to my advantage. My biggest influences besides my parents and my hometown was the work of Irish folk artist, Jim Fizpatrick and my multitudes of Marvel comics that inspired me to pursue a physical perfection that can only exist in the mediums that we pull from our loftiest imaginations. The single-most inspiring moment was the conversation I had with my highschool art teacher who said that I "can't possibly do any art bigger than A4 size". I came back later with a 5ft. by 2.75ft ink piece on stiff watercolor paper. The next week I began a mural that spanned the entire wall face of our highschool drama/arts building. That month I joined the "World's Biggest Painting" event hosted by the Guinness World Record foundation. It has become my spiritual practice to transmute negative reinforcement into positive, insightful beauty. Most of my works have a special 'moral' or convey a spiritual idea/expression. Nowadays my dreams and meditations give me more idea-fuel for my work than any tangible object or person.
I've since moved to Los Angeles and studied Fashion Design. It is something I'm good at, but it only is the tip of the iceberg of my potential and I aspire for so much more than designing pretty clothes. I've found that my illustrations all come with an individual 'personality' with an in-depth, tangible backstory. I treat all of my subjects as larger-than-life people and I've discovered that I want to move into character design for movies and video games. I am currently pursuing Game Art Design.
My chief mediums are graphite, inks, watercolor, markers and I'm always adding new Graphic Arts skills as I aquire them, mostly using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as some video editing softwares.

Customizable, but very large poster prints are availableDescription:
This work was inspired from a poem by Edgar Allen Poe. The idea of a derelict prostitute being the only one in the world who could see the wrongs and have the power to change things inspired me to take stock of the world as I saw it in a moment of darkness. Elements of fashion dogma, spiritual trends, the forsaken poor and destitute as well as the glimmer of hope amongst a vapid wasteland panorama. Most viewers report feeling 'changed' after a showing. Everyone seems to take something back with them after 'entering' the picture and experiencing my slice of fanciful-reality.Price:
