Statement:

The dark fluids of the mind are coerced into coagulation as the elastic etymology of semiotic semantics harasses the paranoid psyche, bringing forth great burbling nonsense in an attempt to endear oneself to community. However, this epistole is in vain, for within the vacuous chasms of the subconscious, one secretely wishes to remain the ever elusive enigma.

Background:

Writing has been with me my entire life. While still in elementary school, some of my poetry was published in a small collection - the title eludes me at the moment, but rest assured the book is long out of print. As I progressed through grade school, I continued to write. I had very few friends, and found that my writing provided a strong source of catharsis for all my adolescent angst. In high school, I overcame my self-consciousness surrounding my work, and began submitting to school publications and contributing numerous times to the school newspaper. By the time I graduated from high school, I had developed a portfolio of several completed short stories, and a series of plays I wrote and directed. I continued on the theatrical path in college. For my senior project, I directed a much-acclaimed version of Woody Allen's Don't Drink the Water, for which I had rewritten most of the script, making it a very personal piece. I have also branched out and begun writing short screenplays I hope to put on film in the near future.
